 Star Card Photo Album

I have been busy making some star cards that can double as photo albums...

These cards can be used for decorations as well, they make pretty star shaped cards and can be tied open as a star, or closed for delivery.

The cards are made up of segments, in this case I used Rich Razzleberrry, Blackberry Bliss and Purple Posy Cardstock, and the Black Glimmer Paper and Ribbon. For decorating I used the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. The segments end up with a 8cm x 5cm gap for putting in small photos.

To make this card you need a piece of card stock for each segment. You can have as many segments as you like but I find choosing 6 to be a good number, as you can have 2 of each colour. 

Cut the card at 14cm by 20cm x 2 pieces. Take one of the pieces and score at 10cm down the midpoint (this is your card base). take the other piece and cut at 8 cm x 20 cm, and 3cm x 20cm x 2 pieces. Take the 8cm piece and score at 3cm, 5cm, 10cm, 15cm & 17cm. Take both 3cm pieces and score at 6cm, 10cm & 14cm. 

Fold the scored pieces in alternating mountain and valley fashion. then glue the 3cm pieces at top and bottom of the main card base, with the 8cm piece in the centre. This should allow the card to fold up with the star pieces coming out in a 3d fashion.

Stick the segments together card back to card back, leaving one opening which you can add a cover and some ribbon to hold open or shut. You can then decorate as pleases you, depending on what you want to do with the card.
